Best Places to Take a Break at Disney's Magic Kingdom

Looking for the perfect spot to take a break and recharge during your magical day at Disney's Magic Kingdom? Look no further! Here are some of the best places to relax and unwind within the park:

    • Tom Sawyer Island: Escape the hustle and bustle of the park and venture to this secluded island. Take a peaceful stroll, find a shaded spot, and enjoy the serene views of the Rivers of America.
    • Liberty Belle Riverboat: Step aboard this colonial riverboat and embark on a leisurely half-mile journey around Tom Sawyer Island. Find a seat on the deck, feel the gentle breeze, and take in the sights and sounds of Frontierland as you embark on a journey through the relaxing days of yesteryear.
    • The Enchanted Tiki Room: Immerse yourself in a tropical paradise and enjoy a whimsical show filled with singing birds, flowers, and Polynesian charm. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the South Pacific as the animatronics entertain you.
    • Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover: Hop on this slow-moving ride and enjoy a tour of Tomorrowland. Situated above the crowds, it offers breathtaking views of the park and a chance to rest your feet while enjoying a leisurely trip. My favourite time to ride the PeopleMover is after the sun goes down and the lights of Magic Kingdom come to life, giving you breathtaking views and photo opportunities.
    • The Hall of Presidents: Seek refuge from the sun or rain inside this educational attraction. Take a seat in the air-conditioned theater and watch a patriotic presentation featuring lifelike animatronic figures of the U.S. presidents.
    • Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress: located in Tomorrowland, this 20 minute journey is located in a unique revolving theater and takes you on a journey through 20th century America.  Steeped in nostalgia and focusing on technological advancements, the Carousel of Progress is a great spot to take a break while enjoying one of the park's original attractions.
    • Walt Disney World Railroad: Hop on board at one of the three train stations located throughout Disney's Magic Kingdom and ride around the 1.5 mile track on one of the four stunning vintage steam trains.  This is such a relaxing way to spend 20 minutes and give your feet a well-deserved mid day break.
    • Dumbo the Flying Elephant: I'm not referring to the actual ride here, but the playground located in the queue. This is a perfect spot to entertain your children while awaiting your turn to board your very own high-flying circus elephant. With air conditioning, washrooms, and benches for the adults, this indoor playground is a great spot to take a break from the heat or escape the rain.
    • Baby Care Centre: if you have young children, the Magic Kingdom Baby Care Centre is great spot for a quiet break. Located near Casey's Corner and The Crystal Palace restaurant, this is where you will find a quiet spot to change and feed your little one. There's also a television and small table for older children to use.
    • Columbia Harbor House: When it's time to eat, head on over to Columbia Harbor House and make your way to the seating area on the second level. While the first floor seating can be quite busy, you will find ample seating on the upper level (If you like people watching, grab a seat in the section that overlooks the walkway from Fantasyland to Liberty Square).
Stay tuned for the best places to take a break at EPCOT, coming soon.

Hello There!

My name is Kelly Eatmon-Cole and I am a wife and working mom of 2 energetic little girls.

Do you dream of planning the perfect Disney vacation but just aren't sure where to start? Did you start to plan but became overwhelmed with all of the conflicting information and just gave up?

That’s exactly how I felt when I was planning my first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I made all of the rookie mistakes because I just didn’t know where to find the information I needed. Planning my first few trips to the most magical place on earth (in my opinion anyway) was stressful and by the time my vacation rolled around I was exhausted from all of the planning and lack of knowledge.

I learned from my planning mistakes and started to document what worked and what didn’t. I’ve also picked up a multitude of advice, tips and tricks along the way and started sharing them with others.  Fast forward to today and I love planning Disney vacations...not only my own, I love helping others plan their vacations too. It is with great pride that I have turned my passion into a profession and became a travel agent.  I now get to combine my travel experience with professional training to help take the stress out of your vacation. It is my absolute pleasure to share my travel knowledge and I am here to help you create the most memorable, stress-free vacations possible.

I am also a Certified Autism Travel Professional and love helping families and individuals on the ASD spectrum plan incredible vacations (CATP 24790104).

Not interested in a Disney vacation? Don't worry, I've got you! As a full-service travel agent, I can also help you plan Universal Parks and Resort, All Inclusive Resorts, and Cruise Lines. Just ask!
