If you're like me, you love the holidays. And if you're really like me, you also love Walt Disney World. So what could be better than combining the two? Every year, the Walt Disney World Resort transforms from Halloween to Christmas decor practically overnight. It's truly a magical sight to behold. But have you ever wondered how they do it? Today, we are going to talk about how the Christmas magic begins.
The Transformation Begins before Halloween Ends
Believe it or not, the transformation from Halloween to Christmas at Walt Disney World begins before Halloween is even over. As soon as the last pumpkin is carved and the last bit of candy is handed out, work crews begin the process of taking down all of the Halloween decorations. This includes everything from removing jack-o-lanterns and ghosts from Main Street USA to taking down spider webs and skeletons from The Haunted Mansion. In total, it takes about three weeks to fully remove all of the Halloween decor from the theme parks. Most of this work occurs during the overnight hours. As soon as cast members confirm the last of the guests have exited the parks, the Christmas decorations start rolling in. Cast members work tirelessly throughout the night to bring this amazing transformation to life.

Christmas Miraculously Appears Overnight
Once all of the Halloween decor has been removed, work crews waste no time in putting up the Christmas decor. And when I say overnight, I literally mean overnight. These workers are true masters of their craft and can transform the entire park into a winter wonderland seemingly overnight. It's truly a sight to behold. Main Street USA is lined with sparkling lights and festive decor, this also where you will find the towering 65-foot Christmas tree and those adorable toy soldiers. Even the Haunted Mansion gets a festive makeover with wreaths and garland adorning its spooky facade.

This transformation is truly magical and the dedication of the Disney's Holiday Services decorating teams is second to none. If you're lucky enough to be visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season, you're in for a real treat—literally! You'll get to enjoy all of your favorite rides and attractions decked out in their holiday best. And if you happen to see a cast member putting up decorations, be sure to give them a big thank you! After all, they're the ones responsible for making this magical transformation happen.
